MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE

The SBWEMP has a hierarchal system comprised of 5 directors and 3 Co-Managers. The board of directors consists of democratically elected representatives from the local marine recreation sector, voted in by the general assembly, comprised of a large number of business owners and residents. The board is responsible for policy and decision making, while the Park Managers are in charge of the day to day operation of the Marine Park, finances, projects, grant applications and personnel.

The Marine Park maintains an office space on Half Moon Bay situated in the West End. In addition to being a headquarters for operations, the office functions as an information center for tourists and the local community to learn about the patrol efforts, reef ecology and the importance of healthy reefs.
